Filmfaced Plywood

Filmfaced Plywood is a kind of veneer plywood covered with film, which is phenolic glue (or other glue) impregnated paper and is different from MDO or HDO.

Based on the color of film, filmfaced plywood can be classified as brown film faced plywood and black filmfaced plywood . Brown film is much better than black film. Because brown film is phenolic impregnated paper while black film is melamine impregnated paper.

Filmfaced plywood is mainly used for construction . So filmfaced plywood is also called shuttering filmfaced plywood, concrete form, shuttering concrete form. Because of this end use, customers usually want WBP filmfaced plywood , which is more suitable to be used as shuttering for big projects . However, some customers require MR filmfaced plywood, which are to be used as shuttering for ordinary projects.

According to the differences of face/back, filmfaced plywood can be divided into slip-side film faced plywood and anti-slip film faced plywood (i.e. wire-mesh film faced plywood). Filmfaced plywood (especially anti-slip film faced plywood) can also be used as flooring materials. Filmfaced plywood can be used for shelves and furniture, too.

Compared with ordinary wood face/back plywood, the quality of filmfaced plywood is much better. The craftsmanship for film faced plywood is much stricter than that for ordinary wood F/B plywood. So filmfaced plywood is more expensive than plywood.
